I bought this beautiful 1984 Transam in August of 2000. I picked it up for a decent price, and she was in decent condition. When i bought the car there was no rust on the car at all. The only problem the car had was faded paint on the hood, but the rest of the car shined REALLY well for the it's age of 16 years old.

The engine had 120,000 miles on it (i know, it was a lot). This car ran and runs REALLY well for the mileage on it. I contribute this to the great engineering of great cars from GM. Although I'm not to found of the powertrain they put in it. This car has the LG4 305 HO engine backed up by a 700-R4 (awesome trans). It was originally equipped with the restrictive four barrel Q-Jet. After about six months of dealing with this carb and the stock manifold I decided to make a swap. I put in a Edlebrock Performer manifold, a 700 cfm Performer manifold, and a HEI vacuum advance distributor. These made the car run a lot better! Not only was it getting a little more response, the fuel economy was a little better too.
