Subject: 07/07/03 Update from Kraig, Loren and Keren

Dear all,

Thanks so much for praying us through this past week! Keren's been fever free for over a week now, and we were able to get her surgery rescheduled for this Wednesday, July 9. She has a little bit of a sniffle again--maybe cold, maybe allergies--but no fever, and she's been cheerful and active. It's been a blessing in disguise that we couldn't have surgery last week, 'cause last Tuesday I came down with a sore throat and fever, and nursed it along for two days before realizing it was probably strep throat and not just a cold....went on antibiotics and felt better within a day. Imagine if we'd had Keren's surgery and then me sick on top of that! As it was, Mom W and Kat, Kraig's sister, were both around the house to help Kraig out with Keren, so I got lots of good rest and recuperation. God always works, doesn't he?

Well, we said goodbye to Kraig's mom today (his dad left to go back to Mali a week ago), and tomorrow Kat takes off..... It's a good thing the newlyweds are back and my family is going to be back in town or we'd feel pretty bereft!

We'll keep you posted as to how surgery goes!
