Subject: 06/27/03 Update from Kraig, Loren and Keren

Dear all,

Keren is nine months old today! And a special treat is that it's also my parent's wedding anniversary--so an all the more memorable date!

Wanted to update you all quickly, too, so you can be praying for us. Keren had a cold this past week (fairly minor, normal), but then she spiked a fever yesterday. We went in to the doctor this morning and a blood test confirmed a bit of infection (probably a slight ear infection, but her ear canals are so tiny the doc couldn't see to tell for sure), so she's now on antibiotics. Her doctor was pretty confident she'll knock the infection soon, but unfortunately....we now have to reschedule her jaw hardware removal again....

The "jaw doctor" is trying to rearrange her surgeries so that Keren can get in within a week or two, so if you could be praying that this will work! We're so tired of it getting put off and Keren's growing so much, that the hardware in her jaw can't stay in too much longer. If it does, it will affect the growth of her jaw.

Anyway, that's the scoop :( Kiddo's doing better this afternoon--interested in her toys right now and sleeping well--so hopefully she'll kick this bug soon.
