The Creform Bowling Ball Ramp is a recreational device that assists users with games involving ball launching. After staff align the device with the intended target, the user simply releases a ball from the top of the ramp to successfully hit the target. This system allows users with cognitive or physical impairments to participate in ball launching activities without a great deal of staff assistance.
Two similar designs of bowling ball ramps have been created--one by Jackson County Intermediate School District and another by Monroe County Intermediate School district. The ramp pictured here belongs to Jackson County ISD.
The device is held together with a series of clamps, making assembly and disassembly quick and easy (as shown below).
Monroe and Jackson counties added a switch-activating unit (The "Poss-I-Bowl 2000") to their bowling ball ramp in order to make the ramp more accessible for wheelchair users. This device aids students in the launching of the ball from the top of the ramp. View photos of this modification here!
