ETL Indexing Turntable

Picture of ETL Indexing Turntable

The ETL Indexing Turntable was designed to aid users with a variety of tasks, such as item placement for individuals with limited range of motion and assembling/sorting tasks.  The system consists of a microcomputer-controlled indexing turntable and a user interface module which are easily programmable to meet the needs of each user’s session. By tailoring the machine to accommodate the task at hand, the number of cognitive responsibilities necessary to complete the task are significantly reduced, making each job more accessible to workers with cognitive disabilities.

Staff may modify several aspects of the turntable’s performance—the speed at which the turntable rotates, the number of times the turntable stops per each rotation, and the amount of time before a timed prompt activates. An Auto Pause function, which holds the turntable in pause mode each time that the turntable stops, is also available.

The turntable is equipped with two input jacks.  A single switch may be connected to one of the input jacks, allowing a single switch user to control the turntable’s movements.  Other inputs, such as an ETL Counter Controller or a Poka-Yoke Controller, may be connected to the remaining input jack to accommodate a variety of tasks.

A voice output device may be connected to the turntable to provide as many as four different audio prompts during each session.
